BASIC NOTES

Uranium Companies

There are very few pure uranium companies. Most companies, especially the small exploration type, are active in more than the uranium industry. This blog makes no attempt to guage the percentage of a companies activity that are related to the finding, mining or processing of uraniun. They all do, however, have some uranium activities (to the best of our review).

Merv's Uranium Indices

I have developed two Uranium Indices. They each have the same component stocks but are calculated using different methodologies. My weekly Index is based upon the average weekly performance of the component stocks. My daily Index is based upon the daily average of the component stocks open, high, low and close prices along with the daily average volume of all component stocks.

Merv's Penny Arcade

Penny Arcade Commentary

Just finished developing my new Merv’s Penny Arcade Index that I had promised my Precious Metals Central (PMC) subscribers and it just blew my mind. This Index along with the table will become a weekly feature for the PMC subscribers starting next week-end. I just thought I’d make it available here for all to access in advance. The AVERAGE price of the 30 penny stocks advanced almost 500% from late last year to this past week-end (less than half a year). The simple criteria for inclusion was that the price must be equal to or less than $0.25 at time of inclusion and that the stock had at least a year of relatively active historical data.

I’ll probably have an update here next week-end as I will probably inform my global audience who read my precious metals commentary on various web sites (gotta get more subscribers), about this Index.
