Uranium Companies

There are very few pure uranium companies. Most companies, especially the small exploration type, are active in more than the uranium industry. This blog makes no attempt to guage the percentage of a companies activity that are related to the finding, mining or processing of uraniun. They all do, however, have some uranium activities (to the best of our review).

Merv's Uranium Indices

I have developed two Uranium Indices. They each have the same component stocks but are calculated using different methodologies. My weekly Index is based upon the average weekly performance of the component stocks. My daily Index is based upon the daily average of the component stocks open, high, low and close prices along with the daily average volume of all component stocks.

Daily Commentary 23 Apr 2011

My main computer has had a serious virus invasion (the Windows Recovery virus). This has made my computer and all programs inaccessable. The compter is in the shop but will not be fixed till at least mid-week. This is the second such invasion in a little over a week. The previous one (XP Total Security virus) was quite expensive to remove. It seems like I am getting these attacks just too often and my virus protection seems not to be working ((Microsoft Essential virsus protection). Will have to go to some other software.

There will be no posting till at least the middle of next week. Although I have this second computer (a $200 netbook) which does excellent service as a back-up it is not updated with the latest data so cannot be used for posting. My error for being remiss in not keeping it up to date.

Sorry about that but can't be helped.

Having looked at the latest Daily Index chart before the invasion there is nothing still happening in the uranium stocks. The Daily Index was trending almost horizontal for the past several days.

You can remove most spyware yourself by using Malwarebytes AntiMalware program.

You'll likely have to start Windows in Safe Mode.

Once you get your computer back, install this program so that you're ready for next time.
