BASIC NOTES

Uranium Companies

There are very few pure uranium companies. Most companies, especially the small exploration type, are active in more than the uranium industry. This blog makes no attempt to guage the percentage of a companies activity that are related to the finding, mining or processing of uraniun. They all do, however, have some uranium activities (to the best of our review).

Merv's Uranium Indices

I have developed two Uranium Indices. They each have the same component stocks but are calculated using different methodologies. My weekly Index is based upon the average weekly performance of the component stocks. My daily Index is based upon the daily average of the component stocks open, high, low and close prices along with the daily average volume of all component stocks.

WEEK-END COMMENTARY 10 Jan 2010

My apologies to my readers. I had been focused on my subscription business as priority and I forgot that my data source was going to be shut down most of Sunday for their system updates or something. I therefor forgot to down load the data ahead of time and now have to wait for the data vendor to complete his update before I can down load Friday's data.

I believe that the data vendor is down until late afternoon so that posting on this site may not be until this evening.

Sorry about that.

Thanks for the info Merv, but certainly no apologies required.

You are giving your readers a gift sharing your data and insight.

I am sure that I speak for all your readers in saying thank you.

That being said, I can't wait to see how close we are and what the next couple of days might bring.

As we all know too well, technical sector breakouts don't happen every day, and in this sector when they do, its money!
